A few weeks ago I got an unexpected request to do an interview on a web page. And, after fumbling around with new equipment—a video cam—and connections, the interview occurred last Tuesday on the Other Possibilities Network (OPM).
They were interested in my experience as an old activist and as a labor and movement historian in relation to the Occupy Movement and other contemporary actions. I got a chance to expound on some favorite and familiar themes—the need for working people to continually re-invent the organs of change in response to changing conditions, the necessity and virtue of solidarity, and so on.
If you have an hour or so, here is the old man rambling on, semi-coherently.
